Daily Reminder was installed at the Fountains Foundation at 916 S. Wabash as a lead-up to my thesis project, Bitter Pills. What started as a reminder to everyone that invisible illness can happen to everyone and as support to those who do take pills turned into an interactive piece where people ended up leaving notes on the piece. A conversation occured between two people talking about responsibilities of those with invisible illness.
Magnetic Tweets (a project with Graham P. Heath) is a public art project where a program pulls tweets relating to certain hashtags and displays them on a large projection screen. As a viewer walks by, tweets are wiped away, symbolizing a clearing of the onslaught of information that we have available to us.
Light Vision Prototype
The Light Vision Prototype was a project where a room was set up, with lights, and the lights would turn on and off according to when a viewer was nearby. From this project, I began my investigations in interactivity - I became more interested in the human-human interactions that were happening, and how people were working together to try to play with the lights.
